Later, still other types evoloved, such as fever and pachi-slo machines, so that today, there are over 16,000 Pachinko Parlors in Japan with over 4 milliion machines in use. Estimates of annual economice impact range from 15 to 30 trillion yen per year.. Taking the upper figure, that is nearly five times Japan’s annual defense budget!

2. Fill the reward hopper located at the top of the game in the back (see diagram#2).
Careful: Mark sure the hopper release is closed!!! The easiest way to be sure is to place the ball box in the ball tray and only put a handful of balls in
the reward hopper. They should stop in the payout mechanism (otherwise they will fall all the way through the box). Most hopper releases will open if pressed once, and close if pressed a second time. You should put at least 600 balls into the reward hopper.
3. On the front of the game, place some balls in the ball shooter tray (see diagram #1), fill it up.

How To Play
To shoot a ball onto the playfield grab the ball shooter handle (most machines skin-contact to complete the shooting circuit; the sensitivity adjustment is on the back), and using the ball-shooting dial, turn your hand clockwise. the machine will fire about one ball per second. How hard the ball shoots, depends upon how far you turn the dial, this is how you aim. After turning the dial, a small tab can be found on the ball-shooting handle (on some models this is a separate button located very near the handle). This is a pause button. Once you have determined how far to turn the dial for the best aim, use this button to pause the automatic shooting and shoot balls one-at-a-time. Remember, the object of the game is to get the balls to land in one of the holes on the playfield so the machine will reward you with more balls.
On every Pachinko game there is a large gate. The trick is to get this gate to open. Most of the games are of the center shot variety, meaning that to open the gate you need to land a ball in the center hole (usually labeled with a START tag and on some models more than one hole will open the gate). This will cause the “reels” to spin. The Pachinko makers have combined the Pachinko game with a slot achine.
Like a slot machine, the object is to get three matching symbols. Three matching symbols will put the game into Bonus Mode.

Bonus Mode
In Bonus Mode there are 12-16 levels. At each level, the gate (mentioned above) will open and give you
the opportunity to capture ten balls. Then the gate will close and re-open to start the next level. You will notice it is fairly easy to land ball in the reward gate and get many reward balls. Each ball is worth 15 balls. This means the maximum reward is 150 balls per level, and at 16 levels 2400 balls total.
